Full description
An extensive, apparently late 5th to early 6th century cemetery at Searby in a disused chalk pit. Human skeletons are said to have been disinterred, often accompanied by flat ring brooches. {1}{2}
It was found between 1849 and 1864. Finds include annular brooches, a cruciform brooch, a radiate-headed brooch set with garnets and a disc brooch. {6}
