Full description
All Saints Church has some Norman masonry but it is largely Perpendicular in style. {1}{2}{3}
Stained glass in this church, some of which is in situ, dates to the early 14th century. {4}
The parish church dates from the 12th century with alterations or additions in the 13th, early 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. The chancel was re-modelled by James Fowler in 1872 and the tower restored in 1881-84. The oldest parts of the church are the west doorway and the lower part of the tower. It contains many interesting features, including memorials to the Tennyson family, and is the focal point of the village. The churchyard is surrounded by a stone wall which was recently restored. {6}
