A single cremation contained within a Bronze Age bucket urn was located during a watching brief south of Chapel Lane. The vessel closely resembles a Deverel-Rimbury bucket urn similar to ones recovered from Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. It has been dated to the second half of the second millennium BC. Other undated cremations identified within the area of the development may also be dated to this period. {1}{2}
