Parish: | NORTON DISNEY, NORTH KESTEVEN, LINCOLNSHIRE |

Full description
It is recorded in c.1155-60 that a place called Raudemilne was given by Robert, son of Turketin, to Newsham Abbey, where a chapel of St James the Apostle stood, and pasture for 300 sheep. This may have been the location for the later establishment of Rodemill Grange (see 62671). The Valor Ecclesiasticus records that the rector at Bassingham had interests in this chapel. {1}{2}{3}
