Third and fourth century Roman grey-ware pottery sherds were collected over a wide area, and triangular building stones, possibly Roman work, were found in an electrictiy trench beside the road.{1}{2} Possibly dumped material from the building of a swimming pool on the site of a Roman villa nearby (see PRN 50556)
