PRN 70335
A complete Romano-British Beaker was recovered by contractors, having fallen from the sides of a sewage pipe trench under construction. The pot is a Nene Valley Colour-coated beaker with a folded body wall and a short funnel neck. These vessels are generally dated from the early to mid 3rd century. It's small size and fact that it has remained whole suggests that’s it may have been a votive offering to accompany a burial. In association with other pottery finds from the area (PRN 70336 and 70337), the beaker may come from a possible cemetery site in use between the late 1st and early to mid 3rd century (PRN 70338) {1} {2}.
