Unlocated tumuli, Threekingham parish

Parish:THREEKINGHAM, NORTH KESTEVEN, LINCOLNSHIRE

Four tumuli were known in the parish in c. 1790, although three had apparently already been ploughed out. One of these mounds is the "Beacon" (actually a post medieval garden feature - see PRN 60054) near Manor Farm, and traces of another (PRN 64868) were seen in a field (field 93 on early O.S. maps) to the east of the A15 but the other two remain unlocated (although two crop-mark round barrows are now known - see PRNs 60903 and 63944). {1}{2}{3}
