The park surrounding Newton House is depicted on the 1905 O.S. map and includes an area of open space with scattered trees in front of the house (facing east) and a more densely wooded area to the rear. {1}
The park landscape is still visible on recent aerial photographs which also show a deep ditch in front of the house which was probably a ha ha. {2}
