Full description

Former Sessions House and police station, now theatre, built in 1824 and designed by H.E. Kendall in the Greek Doric style. The building is constructed of sandstone ashlar with yellow brick to the rear and slate roof, and was altered in the later 19th century. The Petty Sessions were formerly held here twice a week.
