Full description
Orangery at Holywell Hall, built c.1732. Ashlar building with a shallow hipped slate roof with lead dressings. Single storey, rectangular building with a five bay front, doric columns in antis, moulded cornice with plain parapet and ramped side walls and a central broken pediment and bust. Flanked by pairs of full height windows with stepped keyblocks. For the full description of this listed building please refer to the National Heritage List for England. {1}{2}
The orangery is now thought to have actually been constructed in 1764, at the same time that the surrounding parkland was laid out (see MLI92343). {3}
