Full description

The former nonconformist chapel is one of a pair of matching chapels within Spalding Cemetery (see MLI125648), the other being Anglican (see MLI125649). It was built in 1854, in an Early English style with red brick and stone dressings. It has a raised gabled roof with stone copings and kneelers. The apex of the front gable would almost certainly have supported a bell turret to match that which survives on the nearby Anglican chapel. An ashlar doorway with orders of roll mouldings, dogtooth ornament in the arch, and colonnettes in the jambs is to the front gable. Above the doorway are two lancet windows with a vesica opening situated above them. The side elevations have three bays of lancet windows and a gabled vestry to the north with a stone turret. The building was being used for storage in 2010. {1}{2}
