Full description
The war memorial at Owston Ferry stands on High Street, by the Recreation Ground. It is a granite Celtic cross mounted on a 3-stepped base, with an inscription on the shaft bearing 22 names of the fallen 1914-18. It is surrounded by iron railings with a chain link fence to the front. The memorial was unveiled by the Earl of Yarborough on 20th October 1922.
A marble tablet on one of the steps bears 4 names from 1939-45 [1, 2]
