Full description
1) SAM 91. An example of the development of a homestead moat. Principal earthworks are the remains : islands, wide moat, & heavy containing vallum of a mansion covering several acres. Almost within the precincts of the larger site is a small island, heavily moated & raised to an unusual height (bi2(1908))
