Full description
DMV of Horsepool in Thurgarton. APs show ditches and earthworks as shadow marks around church. Best is PR18. (1)

This sounds more like village shrinkage. See M1407 for alternative site of Horsepool. (3)
The earthworks on Castle Hill are extensive. Lynchet banks spread around much of the Northern slopes of the hill. On top of the hill is a complete set of banks, hollows and terraced areas that would merit topographical survey. (4)
A number of houses have been built on the E side (of Castle Hill), one of which has a narrow wedge shaped garden which includes part of the scheduled area. (5)
