Full description

Large circular feature, with wide ditch (?) Site of village windmill ? Date unknown. (1) Site visit 1993. 2 possible banks extending from the enclosure. I couldn't get to the enclosure but it is visible as low earthworks through gaps in the hedges. (2)
Colour APs taken by RCHME 1996 show this clearly, it is apparently a small henge. Wide ditch and possible external bank, one entrance visible. Part by hedge is masked by alluvium. Note that field boundary curves around it. (3)
The remaining two thirds of a large circular terrace (50m diameter), surrounded by a very deep, wide, circular ditch. (5)
See L1820 for nearby cropmarks, 10379 for adjacent earthworks.
