Full description

Trench 1. Possible ditch or pit located in the northern part of the trench. Large conjoining pottery fragments and charcoal suggest nearby occupation. (1).
This feature could correspond to Rahtz's ditch 32 which contained exclusively Roman pottery, described in TTS 1960. (2)
