Full description

THIS WAS GRANTED BY HENRY I TO EUSTACE FITZ JOHN IN THE EARLY 12TH CENTURY. HELD BY ROBERT DE BRUSIN 1322 WHO DESTROYED IT. IT WAS DEMOLISHED ABOUT 1600 FOR A JACOBEAN MANSION. ONLY PART TO SURVIVE IS A FRAGMENT OF WALL BEHIND THE CASTLE HOTEL. (1)(2). Partly dismantled after 1213 [3]
