Full description
A MOATED PLATFORM WITH A WELL PRESERVED DRY DITCH. IN THE CENTRE THERE IS A RECTANGULAR MOUND WHICH MAY DESPITE ITS SHAPE BE A MOTTE AND MAY HAVE SUPPORTED A TOWER OR KEEP ; ROBBED ON W SIDE Form: Earthwork (11/1972). A LICENCE TO CRENELLATE WAS GRANTED IN 1336. (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)
