Found on surface of ploughed field October 1983 by Mrs N Hobbs, possibly in spoil from stream dredgings to north in 1982

  • Description

    1) Small, polished axe, damaged at butt end.
    2) Petrological analysis by F Roe in 1984 suggested altered greenstone from Cornwall; cross section and top view of axe have been sketched as well. DRF information has been scanned and discarded by S Lisk, 04/12/14; digital data will be linked to this record.
