NoneDescription
1) Most of finds are of C18 date as identified by D Benson, OCC. This material came from superficial trenches across a prominent bank running at right angles to a steep natural scarp. The bank is probably of fairly recent origin, as the trenches have not cut across any medieval horizons. No adequate plan or contour survey has been made of the site. All relevant information from the notes has been added, and the notes discarded.
2) Earthworks of a previously unrecognised medieval settlement including two dry fishponds were noted by D Benson in 1971.
