Summary

Eight encaustic tiles from a portion of the walk connecting the Chapter House and Chapel of Reading Abbey were found in 1910.

Description

During the construction of a new association workshop inside Reading Prison in 1910, eight encaustic tiles from a portion of the walk connecting the Chapter House and Chapel of Reading Abbey were found. They were donated to Reading Museum in 1961 and are now in the collection <1>.
