Mill gate . (wall plaque). A gate in Ludlow Town Wall, SA 1177 <1>

Mill Gate was shown in the panorama of Ludlow by Vogelsanck and Leus (1722). It is shown as a small cylindrical tower with a conical roof; there was probably only a small postern gate. Mill Gate was demolished in 1725 to improve access to the river and the mill <3>
