Description
Plot series on north side of Wyle Cop bounded by the street frontage, terrace wall/property boundary [PRN 62387] on the west, the line of the town wall [04629, 62452] on the north, and the property boundary between 30 and 31 Wyle Cop to the east. Characterised by curved plot tails terraced down the gradient, at least two boundaries of which (60212,60150) can be demonstrated to be medieval from their relationship with a recorded medieval building (the Nag's Head). This plot series is similar in character to that on the opposite side of the street (62454), whose constituent plots are similarly terraced down the gradient. At the time of compilation there is no archaeological evidence with which to date the urbanisation of this area or document the terracing process <1>
