Description

A small platform 100m to the N of Pan Pudding Hill, (PRN 00369), measuring 15m long across the slope and 5m wide, appears to be of no archaeological significance.OS FI 1978.<1>

I Burrow in 1976 attributed the gun battery interpretation to the OS, but I cannot trace this on the 1978 OSRC PAW comment 11/4/91 <2>

Annotation on OS Antiquity model of Pan Pudding Hill: - "Earth from upper scarp (4.5m high) apparently used to make platform, thus creating lower scarp (3.5m high). OS FI 1960? <3>
