Description
Listed Grade II, but derelict and passed for demolition 21 Sept 1971. <0>
2 St[orey] rubblestone building, T-shaped. Brick Stacks. Late C16-early C17. The fenestration modern. Panelling of 2 lower rooms not made to fit house according to H.E.Forrest ("Old Shropshire Houses"). The house is undoubtedly old, but has now not a great deal of architectural distinction. <1>
Plans, brief description and photograph held in the SMR DRF. <4>
Description and drawing (based on a 'much faded sketch by Alec Gaydon c.1963') made, after demolition, from RCHME notes, by Carole Ryan. It is considered that the building may have been a timber framed hall house of the late 15th or early 16th century. <5>
