Summary
A section of walling was exposed to view in Spring 2007 following the demolition of Beaman's Abbattoir, Cartway. It had prevously been noted in the 1960s by a local historian who had interpreted it as part of the Town Walls (PRN 00374).

Description
A section of walling was exposed to view in Spring 2007 following the demolition of Beaman's Abbattoir, Cartway and was reported to the SMR by a concerned resident, who remembered being told by Mr Ernest Pee in the 1960s that remains of the town's defensive walls stood at the rear of Beaman's Abbattoir. Includes series of sketch plans. <1>
