CARTSHED. Zone: Vernacular/Polite, Date or Century : 18th-29th. PHASING: Ph1. Cartshed and Shelter Shed, converted to Ph2. Garage and Storage,. MATERIALS etc:- Walls: Sandstone, Machine Cut Brick Roof Materials, Shape and Construction: Thick Tile, Gabled, Queen Posts and Tie Beam. Collars mainly removed. Adzed. Machine Cut. Through Purlins., Hipped OTHER DETAILS: Position:- Isolated, Faces: E, 4 yds Wide by 20 yds Long. OTHER NOTES: PLAN: Ph1. 5 bays (4yds x 4yds) (Enclosed by wooden planks). MISC: Difficult to surmise original function. Probably Cartshed, but used for cattle at one stage. Now Garage and Storage. See Parish Record for photograph of decorated stone in wall. .<1>
