Description
Whitburn gate was situated between no 52 and 34-5 Whitburn St. It remained until 1761 but previous to that had been let as a residence. One of the gates in the town walls of Bridgnorth <1a>
On the demolition of the gate the road was lowered by three feet <2>
A fragment of stone walling stands to a maximum height of 0.05m. OS FI 1960 <1>
No remains of Whitburn Gate are now visible. OS FI 1979 <1>
