Description

Single cindered wooden platform under an overbridge and reached by its own access path. Small shelter. Built to serve nearby Orthopaedic Hospital. <1>

Shown on Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map, 1937-61. <2>

Gobowen to Oswestry branch line still in existence but now not in use. Halt extremely overgrown and all that remains are the two posts that held the name board and a possible gas lamp standard. Photographs taken 17th July 2017. <3>

Statement of significance prepared in a Conservation Management Plan for Cambrian Railways in 2005. Timber-edged platform and uprights for the halt name-board identified as extant, together with a lamp standard. <4>
