Description
originally a two platformed station N of level crossing on minor country lane to NE of village. E platform removed c. 1867 on singling of the line. Original wooden station building by c. 1900s. Rebuilt by S&M. Given one loop and one siding. Crossing keeper's cottage E of the line badly damaged by fire in 1941; repaired by the Army who had requisitioned it at the time. WD 'halt' S of level crossing. (PRN33303) <1>

Photograph taken 10th August 2017. Only the Crossing keeper's cottage remains which has been converted to a house. <3>
