COIN HOARD: HOARD OF C18TH COINS FOUND ON MOATED SITE OF PILLATON OLD HALL .<1> <2>

FISHPOND: EXTANT FISHPOND WHERE RICHARD LITTLETON HELD A FISHERY IN 1484. <1>

GATEHOUSE: C16 GATEHOUSE TO MOATED SITE. MOAT LARGELY FILLED IN, AND CHAPEL AND GATEHOUSE ALL THAT REMAINS OF STRUCTURE. GATEHOUSE APPROACHES OVER BRIDGE, BUT THERE IS MUCH C19 WORK. <1>

CHURCH: CHAPEL OF 1488 ATTACHED TO GATEHOUSE OF MOATED SITE ARE ONLY STANDING FABRIC OF MEDIEVAL HALL. ALTERED IN C19. <1>

MOATED SITE: PILLATON HALL MOATED SITE. DRAINED IN 1820. LINE IS APPARENT, BUT LARGELY BACKFILLED. MANORIAL SITE. <2>

ISOLATED MOATED SITE. THE "OLD HALL" PARTLY RUINED AND MOAT MOSTLY FILLED. BRIDGE SPANS FILLED IN N ARM WHICH IS 32M WIDE AT WIDEST POINT. ISLAND 60M x 34M, WITH RETAINING WALL ON N & E SIDES. HOUSE ORIGINALLY FORMED A QUADRANGLE ROUND OPEN COURT YARD. E & S RANGES CONTAIN C16 BRICK STACKS, E OF GATEHOUSE IS CHAPEL OF 1480. <7>
