Summary
The foundations of a sandstone wall identified during an archaeological evaluation on land off Western Springs Road, Rugeley in February 2016. Although no specific date for the feature could be ascertained it has been suggested that could be associated with landscaping works for the former Hagley Hall.

Full description
The foundations of a wall identified during an archaeological evaluation on land off Western Springs Road, Rugeley in February 2016. The foundations were composed of heavily degraded sandstone blocks with no evidence for bonding material. Although no specific date for the feature could be ascertained its location close to blocked tunnels associated with the former Hagley Hall, just across Rising Brook, may be of significance.
