    <1> Cantley Kilns South Group
    Kilns 9-11, Goodison Boulevard; Roman pottery kilns
    Kiln 12 (Goodison Boulevard); Roman pottery kiln
    Kiln 14 (between Ninian Grove and Wilfrid's Rd), dated from the mid/late 2nd century to the late 3rd century, it produced greyware

    Further kilns may belong to this group (according to the NMR Pastscape database).
    Kiln 30 (St Wilfrid's/Anfield Rd), dated to the mid/late 2nd century, it produced mortaria and other types of pottery.
    Kiln 31 (St Wilfrid's Rd), dated to the first half of the 4th century, it produced mortaria and imitation Samian.
    Kiln 32 (St Wilfrid's Rd), dated to the first of the 4th century, it produced mortaria and imitation Samian.
    Kilns 33 and 37 (St Wilfrid's Rd/Goodison Boulevard); excavations in 1962 revealed two dating to the first half of the 4th century.
    Kiln 34 (St Wilfrid's Rd/Goodison Boulevard); dated to the first half of the 4th century, and produced mortaria and imitation Samian.
    Kiln 38 (St Wilfrid's Rd/Goodison Boulevard), dated to the first half of the 4th century, it produced mortaria and imitation Samian.
    Kiln 39, (Goodison Boulevard (East)), dated to the first half of the 4th century, it produced mortaria and imitation Samian.
    ?Un-numbered, Blundell Close kiln dated to the second third of the 4th century, it produced greyware

    <2> <3> Thirty-nine Roman pottery kilns were discovered during the construction of a housing estate between the Great North Road between 1953 and 1957. All the kilns are now covered by the housing estate, and there are no visible remains.

    <4> Numerous Romano-British pottery finds and kilns. Kilns 9-12 were found at this location with kiln 14 and Roman well (PIN 01814/02) in the vicinity.

    <5> Pottery Report for kilns 9-25 was written by S.M. Creegan and published in 1956.
