W E Harris's feature no 16 in summary of work on Thatcham Newtown <3>.

A description of WE Harris's Feature no. 16 was published in a summary of his work on Thatcham Newtown <1>. The description records that, near Henwick Lane, fragmentary dry flint foundations and a rough floor of broken tiles was found in the gardens.

On the Fourth Edition OS map of 1933 <2>, the find is marked as 'Roman Flint Foundation found A.D. 1931'.
