Full Description
RAF Unit No 34 Radio Maintenance Unit (RMU)was established on part of Messrs Hall's brickworks sometime after 1944 when the railway siding was reconditioned <1>. Unknown exact location.
Pinewood became an RAF maintenance unit for tents and motor transport, with Nissan huts being erected. Pinewood Cottage at the entrance to the site became a guardroom <2>.
