Full Description

The Defence of Britain project noted 'a zig-zag of Second World War concrete square bases with central square voids, possibly timber lined or with remnants of timber posts cut off flush with the road surface' <1>. These ran along the west side of the Andover road, just north of its junction with Tydehams, Newbury. They probably represented the remains of a roadblock.
