Full Description

Groombridge Place, in Donnington is a group of twelve attached almshouses, built in 1992 and opened by Elizabeth II in 1993 <1>. It forms part of the Donnington Hospital Trust, and was constructed to commemorate the charity's sexcentenary; Sir Richard Abberbury founded Donnington Hospital in 1393.

The single storey bungalows are in a staggered row to the south of Abberbury Close, another almshouse terrace built in 1938.
