Full Description
There is both an East Woodhay in Hampshire and West Woodhay in Berkshire. Gelling considers the form 'Wideheia' from 1150 refers to East Woodhay <1>.
'Wydehaye Osevill' is recorded in 1221. Sewal de Osevile held it in the early 13th century. A variant of the name is 'Wydehay Doseville' (1227).
