Full Description

The village of East Shefford, recorded in Domesday. The site is now occupied by only a few scattered buildings including East Shefford Farm. St Thomas' Church dates back to the 12th century, and has medieval wall paintings. See SMR 2630 for 1977 excavations to S of church. Scheduled moat (SAM167)=SMR1064.
