Full Description

ALMSHOUSES IN THE FORM OF A SQUARE COURT. DATESTONE POSSIBLY DATES BUILDING TO 1602. AT THAT TIME NAMED AFTER ELIZABETH I; NOW CALLED DONNINGTON HOSPITAL. POSSIBLE PREDECESSOR ON SAME SITE WAS 'GOD'S HOUSE', A HOSPITAL FOR 13 POOR MEN FOUNDED 1393 AND REFOUNDED 1548.
