Full Description
NOW ONLY VISIBLE AS STONE SLOTS AND MOORING AREA AT SIDES OF CANAL; WAS BUILT IN 1830-1835 TO RAISE THE HEAD OF WATER AT TOWNEY LOCK, BUT AS THE RISE WAS ONLY 1FT 9 INS IT WAS DISPENSED WITH.
Ufton Lock was de-gated in the 1970s during restoration.
