LOCK ORIGINALLY CONSTRUCTED BETWEEN 1718 AND 1723 AS A TURF SIDED LOCK. REBUILT/WIDENED 1767 TO TAKE NEWBURY BARGES, AND NARROWED 1831 TO STANDARDISE K&A.
