Full Description

LISTED GRADE II. BUILT 1794/1795. BRICK CHAMBER WITH BRICK COPING. TWO SETS OF DOUBLE WOODEN GATES. TOP GATES WITH MECHANICAL GATE PADDLE GEARING, BOTTOM GATES WITH HYDRAULIC GATE PADDLE GEARING. INTEGRAL WITH BRIDGE

The lock at this location seems to have been called Guyer's Lock since the First Edition Ordnance Survey map <1>; however, from the Second Edition OS survey <2> the bridge has been called Enborne Bridge, which has led to some confusion in the listing descriptions <3>.
