Full description

Barns in Farmyard at Dormston Manor to the east of the house SO 95 NE 2/298 11.2.65. II GV 2. Group of brick and weatherboarded barns round farmyard. Tile roof. Group value. All the listed buildings at Dormston Manor form a good group.[1][5]

Farm formally known as Bagend Farm [2]

A multiple courtyard farm as defined by the Worcestershire Historic Farmstead Survey [3]

Part of group proposed for conversion 2009 [4]

The barns are part of Dormston Manor (Bagend Farm), Dormston. It is a partially extant 16th century listed farmstead with unconverted buildings. It is formed of a regular courtyard with multiple yards. Prominent T-plan regular courtyard in association. The farmhouse is detached with side on to the yard. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association to the site of a shrunken medieval village. Dovecote located within the farmstead. Large modern sheds are located on the site. [6][7]

Farmhouse: 16th century. Timber framed, plaster, later brick front and additions. Working building(s): 17th century. Timber framed, stone and brick foundations, tile roof, some weatherboarding. Listed dovecotes, barn and outbuilding. Two yards with shared central range. [11]
