Full description

Potential presence of deposits with geological significance (ie: proves presence/extent of Anglian, Saalian and Devensian glaciation). These deposits could be suitable for radiometric and/or luminescence dating. They may also contain palaeo-environmental remains associated with glacial environments, particularly during deglaciation/glacial retreat. There is additionally limited potential for unstratified/reworked artefactual remains. The deposits are dated to Marine Isotope Stage 6 to Stage 2.

In 2013 research was performed by Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology service for the National Heritage Protection Plan Project "Putting the Palaeolithic into Worcestershire's HER". The project identified a number of areas of palaeolithic potential. [1]
