Summary
A World War II pillbox located on the west bank of the River Adur at RAF Shoreham. The pillbox was constructed in 1940-41, built of brick and reinforced concrete and formed part of the airfield defences. It is brick-shuttered and has an anti-aircraft section to one side. A field visit in 1997 found the pillbox to be extant. This pillbox was mapped from historical aerial photographs.
