Summary
A World War II possible type 22 variant pillbox located on the west bank of the River Adur at RAF Shoreham. The pillbox was constructed in 1940-41, built of brick and reinforced concrete and formed part of the airfield defences. A field visit in 1997 found it to be in a poor condition and all four embrasures were blocked up. This pillbox was mapped from historical aerial photographs.
