Summary
Earthworks around St Andrew's Church, Ford (see 2195, 2196), represent the remains of a shrunken Medieval village as well as the site of a fortified manor house (see 2198) and the former Portsmouth to Arundel Canal (see 1924). The earthworks are discussed by Johnston.{1} Site survey. The only possible house platform is at TQ00130381.{2} Also see {3} {4}.
