Summary

An archaeological watching brief revealed seven archaeological features dating to the 11th-13th Century and the 19th-20th Century.

An archaeological watching brief was carried out at New Monks Farm, Lancing, in advance of residential and commercial development. The aim of the watching brief was to establish the extent of made ground deposits on the site and to determine if any of the saltern mounds previously documented had survived beneath the overburden. No traces of the salterns were observed.
