Full description
PRN 46978
Cropmark prehistoric or Romano-British enclosures and ditches, Donington on Bain. Two quite distinct enclosures. The first a rectangular enclosure with associated ditches, possibly Romano-British in date (forming part of a farmstead?). The second enclosure, although rectangular in shape, is less regular and may be later prehistoric in origin. Seen on Google Maps (web site) aerial photograph layer. Romano-British finds have been made in the immediate area (PRN 40726).{1}{2}
Cropmarks have been noted immediately to the north of this area (PRN 44740). PRN 46978 may be associated with, or a continuance of, these cropmarks.{3}
